Betsson, one of the leading Swedish online gaming operators, has announced the launch of a great new sports betting game that has been especially designed by them in order to compete directly with Svenska Spel’s Strykipset.
The new game, 1X2 (EttKryssTva), has been described by the online gaming operator as one of the greatest changes in Sweden’s gaming market in 80 years.
Betsson’s new sports betting game is an odds-based game that gives players an opportunity to bet on the outcome of 13 selected football matches and offers payouts on 10, 11, 12 and 13 correct picks.
According to the company, the new game guarantees payouts on 10, 11, 12 and 13 correct picks and is an odd-based instead of pools-based game.
Magnus Silfverberg, Chief Executive for Betsson, thanked Svenska Spel on behalf of Betsson for 80 years with the Strykipset pool based game and said that the time is now right for another, better product. Silfverberg added that their new 1X2 game is much more modern and fair where skill is very highly rewarded.
Betsson’s Chief Executive also said that he has high expectations that the new game will attract many customers who would normally have used the product of the monopoly, namely Svenska Spel.
Monday morning saw shares in Betsson AB (Co.Data) (OMX:BETS-B) trading up .99 per cent in Stockholm at SEK204.50 per share. This was a continuation of Friday’s rally when the share price climbed by over 7 per cent following the publication of the company’s third quarter results.
