William Hill, the leading British online and land-based gaming operator, has revealed that it has signed an initial two year deal with the Scottish FA in terms of which it will serve as Scotland men’s national football team’s official supporter.
William Hill is already the sponsor of the William Hill Scottish FA Cup and is the Official betting partner of the Scottish Premier League. The gaming operator’s ties with Scottish football will be further strengthened by this new agreement.
William Hill has issued odds for Scotland’s opening match against Serbia with Scotland 11/8 favorites and odds of 6/4 on Serbia and 9/4 on a draw. Odds of 7/1 are given on Craig Levein’s men qualifying for the World Cup and 16/1 to top Group A.
Chief Marketing Officer of London-based William Hill, Kristof Fahy, revealed that they are really excited to be involved with the Scottish national team. Fahy added that the road to Rio is bound to be very fascinating and that they are hoping to support the Scottish national team all the way to a place in the World Cup finals which is due to take place in 2014.
The deal, which has already come into effect, will see William Hill benefitting from a huge range of sponsorship rights that will include branding, advertising, hospitality as well as exclusive Scotland imagery and content.
Campbell Ogilvie, President for the Scottish Football Association, said that they are thrilled to have William Hill as an official supporter of their national team as they have already shown a strong commitment to Scottish football with its sponsorship of the Scottish Cup and its partnership with the SPL.
