Bale is now a Real Madrid asset

Eclipsing all the records ever made in the history of soccer, especially that of Cristiano Ronaldo, Real Madrid revised its own feet and sign up Spurs star Gareth Bale at a record breaking £300,000 per week fees. This is perhaps the maximum amount any club has ever paid for any player in soccer which also put a final dot on all the speculations that Real may not be interested in the Wales for an unprecedented figure. The deal is for a six year tenure while the final amount as reported by the La Liga club is £85.3m. Though the deal is almost final but a formal medical test is pending and after that Spanish league runner up will formally announce his entry to their A-team – probably on Monday at 12:00 BST at Bernabeu. Bale enjoyed his six long years playing with League club where he joined back in 2007 at £10m, and now, he is worth almost eight times of that figure giving a huge profit to his formal club. About his long and fruitful spell at the White Hart Lane, he said, “I have had six very happy years at Tottenham but it’s the right time to say goodbye. We’ve had some special times together and I’ve loved every minute of it.

“I am not sure there is ever a good time to leave a club where I felt settled and was playing the best football of my career to date. I know many players talk of their desire to join the club of their boyhood dreams, but I can honestly say, this is my dream come true. Tottenham will always be in my heart and I’m sure this season will be a successful one for them. I am now looking forward to the next exciting chapter in my life, playing football for Real Madrid.”

On the other side, Villas-Boas, who until been saying they don’t want to retire their star midfielder, is now happy with a prosperous move by the 24-year-old, he commended his passage for a better future and said, “Bale is a wonderful player. He is going to join Real Madrid so we wish him all the best. He left us with some great memories from last season. I am well aware I would not be at the level I am today were it not for firstly Southampton and then Spurs standing by me during some of the tougher times and affording me the environment and support they have.

“I would like to thank everyone at the club; the chairman, board, staff, coaches and players, and, most of all, the fantastic fans who I hope will understand this amazing career opportunity.”

So, cherish a welcoming change in coming La Liga matches where we’ll see how new star entrants perform in front of the world.

Real Madrid’s exaggerated €100m bid for Bale

Many would call Real Madrid an insane club for bidding a mega amount for the Spurs’ Bale, in fact, this is something that has surprised the whole soccer fraternity coz this amount is too much considering the player’s skills, though he is a fantastic player of the game. The news is also not confirmed whether Real has actually put forward that amount, or it is just a media created joke to pinch winger’s uncertainty at White Hart Lane. Everyone knows that Gareth Bale has been passing through a great dilemma over his future coz he has not yet been offered a contract extension from Tottenham Hotspur and they are also not willing to depart him. As far Spurs are concerned, they are yet to reply on Real bid, and if this news is genuine, they can’t afford to refuse this mega amount for a winger who is uncertain and doesn’t want to play for them anymore. Actually, they can buy three of four young and promising players for that amount. Spurs chief executive Daniel Levy has until been kept saying that they would not part ways with their player doesn’t matter how much amount they are being offered – may be he made this statement before looking at the offer price!

In recent years, Ronaldo has been the only player who attracted a figure near to 100 million euro mark and that too was braved by Real, and if current deal sees the day of light, Bale would surely be on the world map and on the radar of many other aspiring clubs who would now like to hire him believing on Real’s homework on his credentials. There is also news coming from the club manager who has now been seeing a growing tension between him and Bale, coz according to media reports, player wants to sign the deal but manager is in no mood to let him go. This could be a biggest mistake from their side if they ever decide to refuse this offer – if there is one!

Media repeatedly trying to ask Villas-Boas about the developments on the offered deal and they finally found him after Tottenham Hotspur’s crushing 6-0 win over South China. Reporters asked him about Bale and he confusingly replied, “I don’t want to comment on anything like that. I cannot speak about anything.”

His answer was more like a distress rather joy to have a great offer for a dissent player. Let’s see how things develop in coming days.

Gareth Bale is now interested in Real Madrid

Soccer is a world of opportunities where every player /official wants to gain maximum out of each available chance. Last few weeks were hot about Barcelona’s summer sign up, and more importantly, Welsh footballer Gareth Bale was the front runner for the post, but Brazilian starlet Neymar got the contract. Then rumors then started that Bale could now find a home at Real Madrid if he gets a suitable offer. Until recently, these were just rumors, but last night, when chairman of Bale’s agency: Jonathan Barnett, gave an interview on Marca TV, which is known to be close to Real, it became evident that Bale would join Real and if he doesn’t have any contract offer in hand, he would be interested in listing a good one from La Liga club. Barnett appeared on Marca TV in a late night talk show where he openly disclosed Bale’s intension to join The Whites. There is also a news in the media that Bale’s current club Tottenham is also preparing a new deal to keep him with them – at least for another season though Barnett refused to have a knowledge about any such contract.

On the other side, Real Madrid, who missed on Neymar, would definitely like to fill the gap with another sensation starlet of contemporary soccer and Bale perfectly fits into their dream team. In fact, Barnett takes Bale as a much better player than Neymar hence he expects to have a similar offer as Real would have been placed for the Brazilian. He said on the show that “Bale is a better player than Neymar and he’s demonstrated it in one of the best leagues in the world. I would imagine clubs want him not just because they missed out on Neymar but because of how good he is. He should be the first option, we’ll see … Bale is worth more than Neymar.

“Bale has done little to fuel speculation over his future, and Barnett insists his client is not overly concerned by the talk.

“Bale is very relaxed … he’s enjoying a deserved holiday. He only wants to be happy and enjoy his football.”

While talking about the prospects of any offer coming from Real den, he added, “If Florentino is interested in Gareth Bale, it would be an honour and we’d listen. But his contract is with Tottenham. We aren’t free to talk with anybody at the moment, that’s the point we’re at.

“I can understand a lot of teams are interested in him. He’s a great player but he has a contract with Tottenham. I don’t know if there has been a bid. What I do know is that the player has three years left on his contract.”
